Art of Spirit by Pradit Tungprasartwong

Oct 1, 2019 - Oct 31, 2019
This article is not an academic article, but a brief summary of my life.

3 years old, I remember to start drawing since 3 years old. Since then, I began to draw continuously. 16 years old, seriously began to study art. From 24 years old, I’ve never been interested in Dharma. Age 25 years is the most important period in life. And changing lives makes me realize that suffering is unbearable due to disappointment and unbalanced brain chemicals. I remembered that the doctor said it was a type of neurasthenia. which the artist (Vincent van gogh) also had this too. Still I have continued on arts. Responding to illness, suffering and life since that day, can enter the battlefield of life between suffering and dharma. Age 35 years, faced the chemical imbalance in the brain problem. At the age of 40 years old. Forced to ordain for a total of 4 months. Stop to used medication but use of dharma in the treatment of disease and suffering. Art is still continuing to respond to emotions. Age 48 years, the chemical imbalance in the brain is aggravated. Caused by diarrhea 60 times causing mental falls and admitted to hospital. Still continuing to do art. Age 50 years, lost the person who loves me the most. And I love the most.

Now, 50 years old, can conclude that life has been fighting with suffering and lust for 25 years. I can’t remember happiness in life. I can’t see it. I see only suffering, illness, death, separation from each other as a pile of things. The Lord Buddha said the first words: The world is suffering. The most proud thing in life is to feel kind. I was so sympathetic that one of my pupil said, “My teacher, the one who saw only one leaf, has cried.” So I think that my good personal is to gives and donate things. Respect myself. The worst thing I have ever done, I won’t talk about it. Nowadays, there is inspiration for using Dharma, in my work of arts. I will continuously until if I becomes very ill then take Dharma into life, but surely will not commit suicide like (Vincent van gogh) I will fight with suffering in preaching throughout life.  ... This is my life ...
